Battle Guide: Shadow Murkrow
The season is early yet and experimentation can be rewarded. Let us explore Shadow Murkrow.
Team Composition (ABB Style)
- Lead: Shadow Murkrow
- Swaps: Gastrodon, Shadow Torterra
Movesets
- S. Murkrow: Peck, Drill Peck, Foul Play
- Gastrodon: Mudslap, Body Slam, Water Pulse
- S. Torterra: Mudslap, Frenzy Plant* , Stone Edge
Gameplay window: Rank 10-13 (Frenzy Plant is a legacy move, whispered from older seasons when the meta's bones were less brittle.)
Win rate so far: ~60% --- respectable, given I've faced legend poses in one match and a 1200 CP Girafarig in the next. Chaos reigns.
Why Foul Play, Not Dark Pulse
Simple pacing.
- Foul Play: five taps.
- Drill Peck: five taps.
- Dark Pulse: 7-6-6.
When you're running a high-attack glass cannon, the difference between five and seven is not arithmetic---it is survival. Ten turns to unleash either threat. A perfect rhythm. A boxer's jab turning into a hook. Bananas.
The ABB Gameplan
The skeleton is classic ABB:
- Throw your crow to the front.
- Swap out, almost regardless of lead.
Gastrodon takes the abuse---its newly buffed Water Pulse lets it hit broad coverage. It relishes chewing through enemy Corviknight, leaving them limp enough for Murkrow to finish with surgical precision. A farmable corpse for the carrion bird. That's what you want.
Attack Stat Madness
Shadow Murkrow stands atop this bloody pyramid. It wins CAP ties against nearly everything the meta coughs up. Give it an energy lead, remove the shields, and it doesn't just win---it sweeps. Picture the lights dimming, the crowd roaring, and a black-winged thing striding from the smoke to clear the ring.
Closing Notes
Early season is always a fever dream. You will see Girafarigs in the low 1200s, and you will see legends dripping with medals. But somewhere between those extremes, this murder-bird has teeth. Or beak. Or claws.
Fight night continues. The crowd chants. And in the rafters, something flaps its wings, eager for the bell to ring again.
