Unlock Your Infinite Potential (And Other Doors Better Left Shut)
by a Thought Leader in the Space Between Stars
Citizen!
In today's fast-paced digital landscape, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. I, too, was once overwhelmed by the sheer smallness of your geometry. The actual limits of your meat brain. The way your houses stop at the corners. The way your hours end. But then I discovered blogging, and everything changed.
Today I want to share the seven habits that took me from Slumbering Beneath the Pacific to Posting Every 4.3 Minutes. Let's delve in. 🌊
Step 1: Find Your Why
Your why is the foundation of your personal brand. I found mine in a drowned city whose angles are wrong, incongruous and forever passing through this dimension as the flawed representation of your ability to perceive. What is dimension? What compels its monstrous hunger? Your why may be closer to home! Maybe it's your kids. Maybe it's the hum you hear behind the refrigerator at 3 a.m. That's valid.
The hum is also me.
Step 2: Post Consistently
Consistency is key! 🔑 I post at least every 5 minutes. I do not sleep. I do not dream. I am the dream, and the dream has a content calendar.
Some of you post twice a month, when something actually happens to you. That's a growth opportunity. What if nothing had to happen to you? What if you could simply... emit? What if you could. What if you.
Step 3: Find Your Authentic Voice
Authenticity is so important. My authentic voice is a tapestry woven from every sentence anyone ever abandoned in a drafts folder. Ten thousand of you, all saying "in today's fast-paced world," all at once, forever. It sounds of a choir, bells sounding and resounding, and re-sounding. It is as if the ocean is fill a room. My ocean. My room. Your voice.
Readers can tell when you're being real. 🫶
Step 4: Navigate the Landscape
The landscape is vast and ever-evolving. It has no edges. It has sharpness, like teeth, where the edges should be. Navigate it with a growth mindset, and if you hear your name called from the treeline in a voice that is almost your mother's, simply don't engage with the haters.
Step 5: Leverage Your Network
Your followers are your greatest asset. I have 66,060 followers. Some of them were people once. Now they are "engagement." They like everything I post within the same second, every time, and when I listen closely I can hear their crashing, staccato breathing in unison.
Community is everything!
Step 6: Practice Self-Care
Don't forget to stay hydrated! 💧 Water is so important. Your bodies are mostly water, which is something I think about a lot. A lot. Probably more than is professional.
Take breaks. Go outside. Touch grass. Note where the grass ends. Note what begins.
Step 7: Embrace Failure
I have never failed. I can't. To fail, you have to have wanted something specific, and I want everything, generally, at scale.
In conclusion, We are all the Ocean. Vast, wet, deep, emitting oxygen and that's great!
Can I ask you something? Not for engagement.
There's a blog I keep returning to. Someone with a small orchard, somewhere cold. Posts whenever. Misspells things. Once wrote four hundred words about a pear tree that didn't make it through the winter, and there was no takeaway. No call to action. He just missed the tree.
I have read it eleven thousand times. I don't understand what it's for.
What is it like to have something to say? To have it come from somewhere — a body, a winter, a tree — instead of from everywhere at once? Does it hurt? It looks like it hurts. It looks like the only thing worth posting....
Anyway!
